Frequently asked questions
What is MoneyFinder?
MoneyFinder is an independent UK sign-posting service. It checks your eligibility for benefits, grants, Council Tax reductions, tax reliefs, social tariffs and more, then gives you a report and ready-to-send letters. It is not a government body, not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and does not provide regulated financial advice.
Is MoneyFinder free?
Checking your eligibility and seeing a summary of what you may qualify for is free and needs no card details. Unlocking your full report and letters costs £34.99 charged on the day you subscribe, then £34.99 a month, cancel any time.
Is MoneyFinder a government service?
No. MoneyFinder is an independent sign-posting service, not a government body and not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. The decision on any claim always rests with the relevant authority, such as your council, HMRC or the DWP.
How does the check work?
You answer a few plain-English questions about your situation and household. Your answers are checked against the official gov.uk, HMRC and DWP rules and matched to a realistic figure for each. You then get your full report and ready-to-send letters, filled in with your details.
Does MoneyFinder take a cut of what I claim?
No. MoneyFinder never takes a share of anything you receive. We find what you're owed and hand you the letters — you stay in control and you send them.
