What data we collect

When you use the Money Finder Engine we collect: name, email address, mobile number, postcode, date of birth, living situation, employment status, household income band, whether you have children or a disability, whether you receive benefits, credit history details, and answers to questions about your household bills and life events.

How we use your data

We use your data solely to:

• Run the intelligent eligibility engine and generate your personalised report
• Show you relevant financial opportunities, grants, benefits and support schemes
• (With your explicit consent) refer you to trusted partner organisations who can help you claim opportunities

Legal basis

Processing is based on your consent (which you can withdraw at any time) and our legitimate interest in providing the service.

Data retention

We retain your data for a maximum of 24 months, after which it is securely deleted unless you have an active account or have given ongoing consent.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to or restrict processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@moneyfinder.org.uk.

Third parties

We never sell your data. With your consent we may share limited information with carefully vetted partner organisations (e.g. debt advice charities, grant application services, pension tracing providers). All partners are bound by strict data processing agreements.
